Helios Airways Flight 522 disaster ( reason of crash : uncontrolled decompression, leading to incapacitation and fuel exhaustion )

post : Malaysia Airlines Flight 370

reference case 1 : Helios Airways Flight 522 was a scheduled Helios Airways passenger flight that crashed into a mountain on 14 August 2005 at 12:04 pm EEST, north of Marathon and Varnavas, Greece, whilst flying from Larnaca, Cyprus to Athens, Greece. A lack of oxygen incapacitated the crew, leading to the aircraft's eventual crash after running out of fuel...

The aircraft involved in this incident was first flown on 29 December 1997...The aircraft was carrying 115 passengers and a crew of 6. The flight was scheduled to leave Larnaca, Cyprus, at 09:00 am local time, to Prague via Athens. The scheduled arrival time in Athens was 10:45 am...When the aircraft arrived from London Heathrow earlier that morning, the previous flight crew had reported a frozen door seal and abnormal noises coming from the right aft service door, and requested a full inspection of the door...After the aircraft was returned into service, the flight crew overlooked the pressurisation system state on three separate occasions: during the pre-flight procedure, the after-start check, and the after take-off check. During these checks, no one in the flight crew noticed the incorrect setting. The aircraft took off at 9:07 with the pressurisation system still set to "manual", and the aft outflow valve partially open.

09:07 Departs Larnaca International Airport    09:11:50 Pilots report air conditioning problem

09:16 Last contact with crew; Altitude is 28,900 feet (8,809 m)  09:37 Enters Athens Flight Information Region

11:50 Left  engine stops operating due to fuel starvation   12:00 Right engine stops operating

 12:03:32 Aircraft crashes in mountains near Grammatiko,Marathon,Greece  (38°13.894′N  23°58.214′E )

All passengers and crew dead.

the Helios Airways Flight 522 disaster case. Reason of crash : uncontrolled decompression, leading to incapacitation and fuel exhaustion. There was not any  terrorist act, not fire and fumes, not any indication that the pilot(s) had the slightest intention to harm himself (suicide) or others. But there were serious mistakes of both the pilots and those responsible for the proper condition of the plane.   5 minutes after departure the pilot reported an air conditioning problem.   Last contact with crew : 13 minutes after departure.

the most interesting planetary picture in the take off chart is that  formed by the Ascendant, the Midheaven, Venus and the Mars/Neptune, Mercury/Neptune and Jupiter/Uranus midpoints ( ASC=MC=VE=ME/NE=MA/NE=JU/UR) [marked with the letter A in the natal chart ]

in "The Combination of Stellar Influences" under Biological Correspondence Ebertin states for the Mars/Neptune midpoint : "Activity paralysed "- A paralysis of the muscles the wasting away of the muscles... For the Mercury/Neptune midpoint the author gives : ''The loss of the power to feel or sense, weak nerves, the paralysis of the nerves'' ,and for the Jupiter/Uranus : '' the organic rhythm ( of life ) : the peristalsis of the intestines - spastic (=convulsive) fits or disorders..."
Everybody in the plane started gradually falling asleep a few minutes after departure while both the Ascendant and the Midheaven were perfecting their 8th harmonic aspects to Neptune (tr. Asc 135 Neptune and tr. MC 135 Neptune )  Only one person managed to wake up a few minutes before the crash, he tried to save the plane but unfortunately it was too late.

now, the above planetary picture is connected ( through 16th harmonic aspect series ) to the : Moon=Ascendant/Neptune=Midheaven/Neptune combination which is of the same nature ( marked as C in the natal chart). This midpoint combination is not exact in the take off chart but it is activated by the transit of the Moon during the flight. For the midpoint Moon=Ascendant/Neptune Ebertin states : Illusions or deceptions of the senses - ''skin crawling'' and for the Moon=Midheaven/Neptune : depressive psychoses, mental disturbance - the occurrence of numbness in limbs.

there is a similarity between the Helios and the Malaysian airplane case in the sense that in both charts they do exists planetary combinations involving the Moon-Neptune and the the two most important Axes in every chart ( Asc/Desc and MC/IC). The big difference is that in the Malaysian plane take off chart  Neptune appears to be much more ''aggressive'' ( being combined with the Mars/Pluto and Mars/Uranus midpoints) while in the Helios's take off chart Venus is the planet being in prominent position ( conjuncts the Ascendant)

so for the Malaysian plane's case there are elements indicating a Neptunian situation inside the plane (unconscious passengers and crew) but what caused this is very probably different.

useful additional information

Uncontrolled decompression is an unplanned drop in the pressure of a sealed system, such as an aircraft cabin, and typically results from human error, material fatigue, engineering failure, or impact, causing a pressure vessel to vent into its lower-pressure surroundings or fail to pressurize at all.
Such decompression may be classed as Explosive, Rapid, or Slow:
  • Explosive decompression (ED) is violent, the decompression being too fast for air to safely escape from the lungs.
  • Rapid decompression, while still fast, is slow enough to allow the lungs to vent.
  • Slow or gradual decompression occurs so slowly that it may not be sensed before hypoxia sets in.

Hypoxia is a condition in which the body or a region of the body is deprived of adequate oxygen supply. Hypoxia may be classified as either generalized, affecting the whole body, or local, affecting a region of the body. Although hypoxia is often a pathological condition, variations in arterial oxygen concentrations can be part of the normal physiology, for example, during hypoventilation training or strenuous physical exercise.
